The Board of directors of Chasco Sacco is seeking to re-invent the business model being used by the society, in order to adopt for a wider customer base as well as diversified economic activity beyond the tea industry, and for this reason decide to establish Avocado farming project as one way of diversifying sources of income and improving the living standards of its members and the community at large.
Currently the society has a well-established nursery situated at BOITO centre in Konoin sub county, Bomet county. In the period of 8 months, it has sold close to 3000 seedlings to the registered members of the society and offering extensions services. With the ready market, Chasco will soon be buying the ripe avocado fruits from members who are registered to bridge the gap between member’s access to the market.

Currently, the society has put in place all the infrastructural installation as required for FOSA operation: Front office, strong rooms, Safes Robust ICT systems and Personnel including CEO, Auditor, IT manager Accountant Etc. Permanent staff currently are 10, 12 temporaries with 3 support staff.
